Eloísa Díaz

 She was born on june 25 1886 in  Santiago of Chile, she was the first female student of medicine of the university of Chile and the first woman doctor of Chile and America of the south.

Professional activity  

Diaz Worked at the San Borja hospital in january 189, also working as a teacher and doctor at the normal school of preceptors of the south from 1889 to 1897. In 1898 she became  a school medical inspector in Santiago later assuming the same position at the national level for thirty years. As a As a philanthropist, she founded several kindergartens, polyclinics and school camps.

In 1888 the first Chilean medical congress was held, and 128 professionals from Santiago and  118 from the rest of the country  enrrolled in it. In the list of attedees, the participation of all the great chilean figures of medicine and biology  of the time is appreaciated. In this meeting, the only woman was the doctor Diaz insuza

I feel great admiration for Eloísa Díaz,  beacuse i think that  it had to be very difficult for her to  achieve  everthing she did due to the times in which  she worked,she should be an example to follow for all women improvement and inspiration to achieve our dreams and goals  professionals.
